Katif Odem

In Moshav Odem in the northern Golan Heights, you will find a charming site with cherry orchards and and all kinds of berries, “ripe for the picking” (if you come at the right season). The fruit trees and bushes grow in the heart of Odem Forest, at the foot of Mt. Odem, 1100 meters (3,600 feet) above sea level. The view is breath-taking. The combination of altitude, climate, volcanic soil, and environment-friendly growing methods enable us to grow a variety of delicious, healthy fruit.

Picking your own fruit is an incredible experience for every age group. And, you can eat the berries right off the trees and bushes—we don’t use any chemical pesticides.

In addition to fruit picking, the site offers a café, shaded picnic grounds (no fires allowed), drinking water, bathroom facilities, and plenty of parking. You can also browse in our shop, which carries local products such as Yochi’s home-made jams, pure honey, olive oil, and wines and cherry liquors from the neighboring Odem Winery.

Picking season depends on the ripening time, which varies according to the weather and the type of fruit.  Please call or check our website for the exact starting date. During the season, cherry-picking is open 7 days a week. Berry picking is open Sun–Thurs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. There is no berry picking on the weekends. For groups, please book in advance.

Entrance fee, from age 3 and up, is 25 shekels a person. You are welcome to eat fruit straight from the trees and bushes; fruit taken home is charged according to weight.
