The Orchard Valley Trail starts from the Kuneitra Lookout (Mitzpe Ronen). A wide, easy path descends through fruit trees and cultivated terraces, with vantage points that overlook the beautiful scenery of the Kuneitra Valley, apple and cherry orchards belonging to the region’s kibbutzim, the Syrian border and the abandoned town of Kuneitra. All along the way you will find benches where you can stop to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. The trail is about one kilometer long (less than a mile), beginning and ending at Mitzpe Ronen.
The trail is especially beautiful in the spring (April–May), when the the apple and cherry trees are in bloom. And in late fall–early winter (November–December), the turning leaves put on a colorful display.
The planning and development of Orchard Valley is under the auspices of the Open Spaces Protection Fund, and the Golan Tourism–Golan Economic Association.
